I offer weekly classes located at 6701 Highway Blvd, Suite 209, in Katy, TX. Courses are offered in a blended learning format, where participants complete online coursework before an in-person skills session or an instructor-led delivery where all work is completed in class. Classes are offered Monday-Saturday. All materials are provided.

Heartsaver®
Course Options
The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course options train participants to provide first aid and/or CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Classes are offered in a blended delivery where participants complete online coursework followed by an in-person skills session or an instructor-led delivery where all work is completed in class. For blended learning classes, links to purchase online courses separately are provided. Online coursework for blended classes must be completed before participating in an in-person skills session.

What does this course teach?

First aid basics including medical, injury, poison, and environmental emergencies, preventing illnesses and injuries and controlling bleeding & bandaging.

Covers topics like using a tourniquet, shock, internal bleeding, burns and electrical injuries, allergic reactions, breathing problems & dehydration, diabetes & low blood sugar, heat-and cold-related emergencies, drowning, amputations, bites and stings, broken bones and sprains.

Also covers splinters, nose bleeds, fainting, seizures, and injuries to the head, eyes, neck, spine, mouth, and teeth.

Course Options
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. Classes are offered in a blended delivery where participants complete online coursework followed by an in-person skills session or an instructor-led delivery where all work is completed in class. For blended learning classes, links to purchase online courses separately are provided. Online coursework for blended classes must be completed before participating in an in-person skills session.

Bloodborne Pathogens

What does this course teach?

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course is designed specifically for workers with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as correctional officers, childcare workers, security guards, maintenance workers, school personnel, hotel housekeepers, health and fitness club staff and tattoo artists. This course is designed to meet OSHA requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.
