Group Training

I offer on-site training for businesses and organizations. Training is provided through either a full instructor-led delivery, where all work is completed in class, or a blended delivery, where participants complete online coursework before attending an in-person skills session. All training materials are provided.

What does this course teach? 

Heartsaver courses provide students with the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR, and use of an AED. This course empowers students to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home, or in the community.

Heartsaver® Courses
Blended or Instructor-Led Delivery

Heartsaver® Basic First Aid CPR AED

  • Blended: 1-2 hours online & 1.25 hours in-person

  • Instructor-Led: 2.25 hours in-person

Heartsaver® Total First Aid CPR AED
(meets OSHA requirements)

  • Blended: 1-2 hours online & 2.25 hours in-person

  • Instructor-Led: 4.5 hours in-person

Heartsaver® CPR AED

  • Blended: 1-2 hours online & 1 hour in-person

  • Instructor-Led: 1.5 hours in-person

Heartsaver® First Aid

  • Blended: 0.5-1 hour online & 0.5 hours in-person

  • Instructor-Led: 2 hours in-person

Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED

  • Blended: 1-2 hours online & 2.25 hours in-person

  • Instructor-Led: 5 hours in-person

Description

Heartsaver® blended courses consist of online coursework and an in-person skills session. Students must complete the online portion, followed by the hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association Training Center Instructor. Students who complete the online course and skills session (sold separately) will receive a Heartsaver Course Completion card, valid for two years.

Heartsaver® Total First Aid CPR AED

The only Heartsaver course that meets OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements.

Hands-on Skills Session (Sold Separately)   

A separate hands-on skills session with a Heartsaver or BLS American Heart Association Instructor is required to earn a Heartsaver course completion card, valid for two years.

What does this course teach? 

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. 

Description

The basic life support blended course, HeartCode® BLS, consists of online coursework and an in-person skills session. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace. Providers first complete the online portion of HeartCode BLS and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor or on a simulation station.

A separate hands-on skills session with a BLS American Heart Association Instructor is required to earn a basic life support course completion card, valid for two years.

Bloodborne Pathogens

Bloodborne Pathogens

Description:

The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.  

Audience:

The AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens such as: Correctional Officers, Childcare workers, Security guards, Maintenance workers, School personnel, Hotel housekeepers, Health and fitness club staff, and Tattoo artists.
